Pics from Highland Indiana Obama rally! (PICS!!!)
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 01:54 AM by prolesunited
Some random crowd shots:

A kid dressed like Donald Duck. Cute, eh?

My father-in-law - A proud WWII vet (dropped behind Omaha Beach on D-Day) and a proud Democrat:

That sly old dog found a new girlfriend tonight:

They wanted to have a smooch:

Oh yeah! Barack Obama was there too! Go figure.

I really wish this pic wasn't so blurry. (I didn't bring a tripod. Sue me)

We were about 45 feet away from the podium, and it was amazing. My wife (prolesunited) and Dad & I had a wonderful time. After his speech, he gave me a long-distance (10 ft) Terrorist Fist-Bump. We laughed.

Here's a bonus pic of a barn in rural Ohio that we saw last week. (no charge)

Oh, and here's our dog dressed like a lumberjack. (It's Halloween, mind you)

EDIT: I, Blue-Jay posted this. I forgot to log my wife out first, but she took most of the pics, so I can't bitch too much.

1. Neat photos!
Did you Dad really meet that young lady there at the rally? Cause they seem to like each other. :)

5. Yeah, he's a ladies man.
We noticed that he was scooting back in his walker/chair, and putting the "moves" on her. I was fine with it (Go Dad!), but the lady's daughter was a bit uncomfortable. (spoilsport)

9. the baby dressed as Donald Duck was precious and sweet beyond words.
My daughter mentioned the picture to me three hours ago and I have sit here going through every thread until I found it. She went to bed so I couldn't ask her and I was too stubborn to give up the search. Now I can go to bed at 4;30 satisfied I saw the cute baby in the duck suit. :7

17. Why is the dog getting more love than Obama here?
:-)

Maybe your dog can hook up with our dog, my dad can hook up with his new lady friend, and we can all hook up with Obama and live happily ever after.

21. It was awesome
And the volunteers were great with my dad and so helpful. He had been worried because he uses a walker and thought the size of the crowd would overwhelm him. I had posted a thread asking about accommodations and received reassurances from others about going.

They were right. He had a great time and felt very welcome.
