I saw Sarah Palin walk onstage at her Hallowe'en Rally today
As I watched, the mob cheered while the song "Thriller" was playing and strobes flashed.
She strode across the stage in her Anchorage Consignment Shoppe ensemble with her head held as high as her heels and her hem teasing the bottoms of her knees.
It was pure Republican porn, with a purloined '80s soundtrack.

As she reached center stage and the podium, the music faded and the crowd finally quieted down. I almost wished I was there at that moment, near the front of the stage.

I would have cupped my hands to the sides of my mouth and given out a huge "WHOOO!!"
Then I would quickly add: "SHOW US YOUR TITS!!!"

I figure only a couple things would have happened at that point.

I figured half the crowd would think I was a disruptor, but since have a biker-like visage, they wouldn't really be sure. They might think that I was just a huge fan.
Among the other half... I think most of them would begin a chant.

In either case, It'd be on YouTube.

6. Sorry you're not amused
Sarah Palin is sexist crap.
She was chosen in the name of sexism.
She trots her kids onstage as a symbol of her gender.
And she flirts with the mob using sexist winks to woo the support of the yokels.

My pointing out the vulgar similarities of her campaign to a Sturgis event is not a mirage, It's been carefully crafted throughout her career, from pageant stage to Governor's office.

I'm sorry you felt my horribly graphic parody denigrated your status as a whole person. In retrospect, I probably should not have painted the entire 52% of the population as a vote grabbing floosie.

8. You just can't help yourself can you? Trotting out kids is a "symbol of gender" ? Since when?
Is Obama "trotting out his kids as gender"? Or Mccain,or Romney or Clinton? What about JFK and a pregnantJackie? Palin may have been chosen as a "sexist " gesture but there is no reason for ANY Dem to retaliate in kind. Posts such as this are an example of an ingrained sexism so prevalent that people don't even notice it, or find it acceptable when applied to those they don't like. One wonders if racism would be acceptable applied to our opponents? I think either racism or sexism or ageism applied to anyone is wrong and the OP is a very sad reminder of the lack of progress that has been made by women. Most would be screaming if equivalent descriptives had been applied to our nominee or any persons of color. And it would be justified.

11. I hadn't realized that Obama never got on stage without his kid-props
They've been on stage a handful of times and not at campaign rallies...when he won the nomination, at the convention...not too many other times.

No, Obama's kids sleep in their own beds and get up and go to school with their friends.

Piper Palin is dragged from state to state, hotel room to hotel room and dragged on stage to clutch her special needs baby brother.

There is no comparison, sorry!

And in defense of the OP, I suggest that you read the front page article from the NYT last Saturday that described the drooling and fawning and cat calling in Palin crowds.

Did you watch the rally with Hasselbitch last weekend? There were many men doing that construction worker whistle (whewww-wooo!) in the crowd as she went to the podium.

The OP was doing a riff on this. I'm a woman and a feminist and do think that Hillary was treated with some sexism.......Palin is peddling sex -- winking, lip-smacking, wearing skirts during interviews that go half way up her leg.....all in lieu of actually knowing anything!!!!!!!!!!

But this woman just fell out of the chair laughing.
