My gauge of how the campaign is going will have nothing to do with polls... |

Right now the Obama camp is concentrating on red states that went for Bush in 2004 and where polls show McCain losing ground. As long as the schedule keeps reflecting this I believe the Obama campaign believes they are doing well and their internal polls look good. If, however, come Monday and Obama adds a stop to say, Pennsylvania (not currently planned, but they are keeping Monday's schedule flexible for now), then I will believe there will have been some weakening in our position--weakening, not necessarily losing, but Obama and the team taking nothing for granted.
It's a shame that all through the primaries we looked at the errors Zogby made and now some people will go frantic over his latest poll.

Voters seem to do this. Vote from habit, emotions, reason, and if I could only figure out the numbers in which group I would be smart.
