Why Are You Watching Morning Joe?

It strikes me as pretty nutty that folks of our persuasions and inclinations would watch Morning Joe in the first place. WHY? It's like intentionally banging one's thumb with a hammer and then blogging -- over and over and over again -- about what a jerk the hammer is. That just doesn't make any sense. Scarborough is what he is -- likewise Buchanan. Why not SKIP THEM?

Hard-core Repiglicans presently constitute only about a fourth of our republic, and that number is shrinking. They're dying off, being replaced by a new generation that trends strongly Democratic. Soon they'll be down to one-fifth, clustered mainly in locales such as Alabama, the Texas/Oklahoma Panhandle region and Utah. Let them go. Republicans become problematic only when they're empowered by others. Why empower the lunatics by tuning in to their horseshit?

Instead, how about checking out NPR or Air America or Democracy Now!, all available via computer for those whose locations preclude listening on the radio, or in the case of Democracy Now!, watching on TV.

And how about simply taking the advice of my all-time favorite bumper sticker: Kill Your Television!

5. Morning Joe has become virtually impossible to watch

and Mika has only gotten worse and worse since Day one.

They often get some interesting guests which is why most of us have tuned in to their show in the past. However, it is sheer torture listening to Joe, now that he has completely let go and shown his true colors.

9. I don't understand the outrage every morning.

We know what they are talking about everyday, how does this still suprise anyone? It's like being surprised that Drudge is cherry picking McCain polls...

10. I don't watch but my wife does -- for the guests they have on -- so I'm more or less

a captive audience. I usually escape to my den to avoid the diatribe and added embarrassment of Mika Brzezinski being continually abused but we have a TV in the kitchen so if I want breakfast I'm forced to listen for half an hour or so.

I'd like to ask one favor of everyone. Please stop referring to the murderer's show as "Morning Joe". That name shares the delightful connotation of a good morning cup of coffee. It just doesn't fit the acrid blend of extreme right partisanship and chicanery that is the true show. I prefer to call the murderer's show "Moron Joe". Moron sounds a bit like morning and it fits Scarborough so much better.

Scarbarough is a Republican hack trying to pass himself off as a non-partisan which does provide some comic relief but in the final analysis Moron Joe is in fact a moron because he seems to think he's bright enough to pull this off. But anyone who actually believes he can get away with Moron Joe's crap just has to be a moron. Therefore, I'd really appreciate it if everyone used the proper, accurate name for Scarborough's show, Moron Joe.
