Murdoch says Obama win could worsen financial crisis: report
Source: The Raw Story

Global media tycoon Rupert Murdoch has warned that a win by Democratic hopeful Barack Obama in next week's US election could worsen the world financial crisis, a report said Saturday.

In an interview with The Weekend Australian, owned by Murdoch's News Corporation, the newsman said if the Democrats implemented protectionist policies it would be "a real setback for globalisation".

Murdoch said he did not know whether an Obama administration would deliver on all the Democrats' stated policies, saying "presidents don't often behave exactly as the campaign might have suggested."

But he warned that an increase in protectionism in the US as suggested by some Democrats in Congress, would risk retaliation from China and could threaten world trade.

4. What did Rupert do, hire Joe the economic genius?
The only thing keeping the economy in check is the hope of Obama's victory.

5. a "setback for globalisation"?
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 10:38 AM by Democat
Many of McCain's supporters would welcome that - they hate every country except America. And even in America, many of them only love white Republican members of their own church.

6. I was talking to a financial advisor yesterday
He told me he was "scared" of Obama, but when it comes to the stock markets, he said there would be no problems in the markets if he won! The right wing nut jobs are going to say anything they can to scare people. What the media needs to do, and I am sure they won't, is stress the fact that it was the "REPUBLICANS" that got us into this mess, not the democrats. McCain is proud to have supported Bush, more than most of his fellow republicans, and we all know his "tax break" plan is to give more breaks tot he rich. We need a change that will give us regulations to prevent another market melt down like the one we are in now, and the only way that will happen is if we get Obama in office.

There is the Blood of thousands on Murdock's withered greedy hands.

12. I'm not one that favors out and out communism...

but could we please make an exception for Mr. Murdoch? Sell all of his assets and dismantle Faux Snooze. Redistribute it all.

It's not much, only about $67 dollars for each taxpayer, but that's a check I'd like to cash!

13. Uncle Rupie's 'news' network is going the way of Dubya
The middle/soft left and right folks are running from his propaganda machine, as we see with their ratings. Soon, they'll only be attracting the 23% or so that think President Dumbass is doing a good job. It must be tough watching his baby getting marginalized and more widely exposed as a complete POS network.

With a guy as rich as Rupie, it's all about relevance, and that's a niche that's disappearing right in front of his evil eyes. Wait until Wednesday, when the freak-outs will be truly historic and entertaining.
