Dear MoveOn member,

Here's some ominous news: In the last week, Obama's lead in the national tracking polls has dropped by almost three points. If it keeps dropping, we could be looking at four years of President McCain and Vice President Palin.

Now, don't panic yet. Obama's still ahead. But if you thought it didn't matter whether you helped the campaign this weekend, think again. The election looks like it'll be very, very close. If folks start thinking that Obama's got this one licked, and he doesn't really need their vote—well, we could be in big trouble.

To win, Obama needs a flood of volunteers in swing states to bring in every possible vote. You can help Obama recruit those volunteers right now—by calling MoveOn members in swing states with our easy-to-use website and asking them to volunteer. All you need is a phone and a computer with internet. Try it for five minutes, and trust us, you'll be hooked.

reminding my 20-something friends to vote this Tuesday. We have several first and second year teachers on staff and 2 of them are newlyweds.

7. Making calls for school board

candidates this weekend and Monday. I am care taker for my 78 year old father so I have to budget time. Obama got my help earlier in the week now I need to focus closer to home as in my school district.

I got a lot of answering machines yesterday but last week I got a lot who wanted to help and my last call last week was to the guy managing the Obama office in Richmond, VA and he started laughing that I was calling to recruit him and was very happy that we were calling for more volunteers to go help him! He didn't know that Move On was sending in more troops! :P
