If the Boston Globe is correct about Bush not fulfilling his obligations |
|
to the military, then Bush is lying or he has deceived someone to get his DD214. If what the Boston Globe says is the truth, we need to know more about how George W Bush got his DD214. First of all, we need to see the DD214 to see if it is legitimate. I don't think it has been made public? Has anyone seen it?
But are we to believe the Boston Globe or George W Bush? If he does have a DD214, he has not been honest in receiving it. He either lied or deceived the military to get it. And when did he decide to get it? When he made his first run for Congress? Or when he decided to run for Governor of Texas? The Globe opens up quite a few more questions about Mr Bush's military career.

He had dated Richard Nixon's daughter. Additionally his father was the UN ambassador. Do you think any commanding officer would attempt to prosecute this man?

Maybe Bush thinks he got into the Guard on his own?
Maybe Bush thinks he performed admirably in the Guards and would have gone to Vietnam had he been called up?
Maybe he forgot he checked off not to be sent overseas?
Maybe Bush thinks he was honorably discharged on his own merits?
Maybe somebody told Bush he fulfilled all his duties?

5. Maybe W "forgot" to show up for his last year in the Guard? |
|
Maybe W "forgot" to show up for service in Alabama?
Maybe W "forgot" to take two required physicals and just let his flying privilege go without noticing it?

7. "How to make a million dollars, and not pay taxes" |
|
"First, get a million dollars and don't pay any taxes.
Then, when the IRS shows up wondering where their money is, simply tell them, 'I forgot. I forgot I had to pay taxes.'"
(part of an old Steve Martin skit...just popped into my head upon reading your post)

his last two years and would not have been able to go if called. What does he think he would have done if he was called ? Sit and read flying manuals ?
One thing he knows, he can never be put in the position of answering a question again. That is why he is getting out of the 2nd debate. I bet he will not even give a reporter the opportunity to ask a question. He must be freaking out over this.
He knows he doesn't have to worry about the questions in the other 2 debates because the media will not go there.

6. Smirk's "honorable discharge" has to be something Poppy arranged |
|
for him ILLEGALLY.
And given the information contained in the new documents released, there is NO WAY Smirk should've gotten an "honorable discharge."
It is a slap in the face to any of our soldiers who DID receive an honorable discharge.
I hope someone will investigate who pulled the strings to get this bogus honorable discharge in place for a dishonorable and AWOL Smirk.

9. If his unit was on 24-hour alert, it's a war zone; that makes it DESERTION |
|
doesn't it?
Quibble as we may, it's my understanding that being AWOL for more than thirty days IN A WAR ZONE is considered desertion under fire and is punishable by a Court Martial, and there's no statute of limitation for it. Am I wrong?

12. Bush, Sex, Booze! How awful! I condemn it! |
|
We need a through 50-day investigation into these awful allegations that could destroy the President.
Every detail examined with humiliating detail.
And condemn the book for what it is. Just awful.
Could you read back a few more pages for me to condemn?
Thank-you.

The pertinent field is "authority." Unlike a private-sector employer in a right-to-work state, the military has to have a reason to throw you out. This is the authority of which I speak.
If the authority is Air Force Instruction 36-3206 or the equivalent AFI for the National Guard, Bush is toast--the first paragraph starts with "This Air Force Instruction (AFI) explains how to discharge active duty Air Force officers for substandard performance of duty, misconduct, moral or professional dereliction, homosexual conduct, or in the interest of national security." The AFI doesn't apply to the National Guard, but you know they have one just like it.
