DUers, how are you commemorating this election for your children?
I am taking my daughter with me to vote but what can I save for her that she can show her children one day as a piece of history? Any ideas?

2. collecting mementos of the election
I have my stuff from the convention in Denver, got buttons and bumper stickers for both Hillary and Obama plus will get some yard signs after Tuesday. I will definitely save the front page from the paper on Wednesday.

6. they have followed all election, drawing own conclusions, watching debates. took youngest
to vote. got a poster and stickers to keep and tshirts for each. an artist came to town and gave us the neatest posters of obama.

let kids stay up late election night to watch....letting kids take off school wed (surprise, not gonna wake them), to celebrate win and taking family and friends out to lunch.

9. Only my youngest, aged 20, is still here with me, but we went to SEE OBAMA!
We waited for seven hours and were within 20 feet of the man when he made his speech. You should have seen my daughter's face! ;-)

10. Meeting today with 2 grown sons to go over ballot together, before delivering them to Elections.
We live in Oregon, where we vote by mail, but it's too late to mail them, so I'll be hand
delivering them tomorrow.

I love that we're doing this, because I know they'll always remember this election in years
to come.
