For the first time ever, I put up a political yard sign, against my husband's adivce. But I told him I was sick of being afraid of what the yaahoos might do.
On the top of my sign post, I had the black and white Obama/Hope poster. On the bottom, I had a Geezer/Dingbat sign.
Less than an hour after I put up the sign, the sign post was broken, the sign thrown in the ditch, and a McCain/Palin sign was placed in my yard.
So, I replaced the post for my original Constitutionally protected political yard sign, added another Obama/Hope sign to the broken poster, plastered the back of the McCain/Palin sign with Obama/Hope posters and pasted another Geezer/Dingbat sign on to the front of the McCain sign leaving the John McCain.com at the bottom visible.
I just hope the sign vandals don't take this war further in the vandal department.
If they hadn't broken my sign, and had just left the McCain/Palin poster, I would have just laughed and removed the McCain sign.
But they pissed me off. :grr:
For every sign of my they damage or remove, I'm going to print out two more.
Heading off to the store shortly to buy more printer ink...

1. Our Vermont street was hit last night |
|
In this 70-30 state, I wonder if it is not souvenir hunters instead of Mccain supporters.

2. I just drove around a part of town today, |
|
and I saw only one Obama sign. There's a fair amount of core gop voters here.

3. This is a very heavily Republican area, but I really didn't expect to have my sign |
|
molested in broad daylight. :(
I expected them to at least wait until I went to the laundry in an hour or so.

4. Tape several thumb tacks to the back of the sign |

with the sharp part facing outward...so when they reach their grubby fingers around the sign to pull it out, you get the pleasure of hearing someone yell as the tack hits thru the skin and down to the finger bone...cuz no doubt they will make a firm grip on the sign as they try to pull on it.

6. Is this legal? If it is then go for it. They've already broken the law |
|
by going on your property anyway.

and stealing my property under the state's Castle Law...pretty sure bloodied fingers from a thumb tack shouldn't be a problem. They get to explain why they were grabbing for the sign in the first place.

5. That's the shit I hate about Repubs....HYPOCRISY, it's inherent in their culture. |
|
They love quoting " the right to property" and if someone messes with their sign they'll shoot you. You go and put up your Obama love and these idiots think it's alright, as though you've signed away your rights, for them to come onto your property and vandalize it.
These people are fuckers.
