Do you believe Vice President Cheney should renounce his comments suggesting a Kerry presidency would increase the risk of a terror attack in the U.S.?

4. actually, I hope he stands by it! |
|
don't you?
I heard some callers early this morning on WGN radio trying to defend the comment, and the hosts, both of whom are pretty conservative, got increasingly upset at the irrational defenses, and the more they thought about what Cheney said, the more angry they got
this is an almost exclusively older, more conservative audience, at the most profitable station in Chicago, with the largest overall audience (top three, for sure), and, if the reaction stays like this, Cheney and his defenders sticking to their guns, can only be good news for dems.
they sure seem to be making a lot of STUPID moves lately

6. I want him to stand by it. |

I want him to repeat it. I want him to launch into a harangue about it. I want him to go so far over the top with it that no one can mistake his miserable intent. If he backs off and apologizes he can take some of the sting out of the story.
I think the president is an insipid, not-too-bright hack being led around by bad people. I think Cheney is one of the bad people and could be one of the worst of them, although this misstep on his part makes him appear less bright then I thought he was. Anything he does to make himself look bad is fine by me and he can keep doing it!

This is about sick as it gets. I'm surprised he wasn't fondling the bones of a dead 9/11 victim as he said it.
