Anyone notice that more people are standing up and defending Dean's
comments?

From the O-blog

Interesting TV this morning.
Lou Dobbs was talking about some of the statements Howard has made about the current administration and Bush. "He's right" Dobbs said, and Imus who was doing the interview said, "I know he's right."

And this:

I don't listen to Imus often, but wantd to hear Bill Maher on his show today. Well right now Bill is actually getting Imus to admit that Howard's gaffes aren't gaffes, and that we need someone angry at this admin if we want to beat this admin.. Go Bill!

Here's some comment from a Kucinich supporter and Dean detractor:
http://www.counterpunch.org/lindorff01072004.html

But I have to confess, listening to the treacherous and petty Republican-style attacks of his weasily rivals for the nomination, and watching him stand his ground for (the most part), with humor and dignity, is exhilarating, after years of the likes of Carter, Mondale, Dukakis, Clinton and Gore.

If nothing else, a Bush-Dean match-up would, for the first time in a generation, offer us the spectacle of a genuine political street fight, with real punches thrown and real blood on the pavement.

2. It's like a Rocky movie
like When Rocky went to Russia to fight Drago. the crowd was vehemently anti-Rocky for most of the fight, but by the end, everyone was chanting his name.

4. Not Nicholas Kristof (calls Dean a phony and ignorant)
"...Meanwhile, Howard Dean is grasping for faith in a way that is just as tasteless as Mr. Cheney's Christmas card. Dr. Dean bragged to reporters that he knows much about the Bible — and proceeded to say that his favorite New Testament book is Job. Anyone who cites Job as a New Testament book should be scolded not just for religious phoniness but also for appalling ignorance of Western civilization — on a par with Mr. Bush's calling Greeks "Grecians."

7. Out here in the cornfields of Illinois...
.. ordinary people are noting the attacks, and are sympathizing with Dr. Dean. Like one guy I eat breakfast with every day said about the CF remark, "God dammit, I know what he meant, so don't tell me all those other people didn't". :)

8. More and More People...
More and more people are "mad as Hell and they're not
going to take it anymore!" Dr. Dean's message resonates
very clearly with all of those folks.

Now go to your windows, throw them open, and shout it after me!

"I'm mad as Hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!"

Howard Dean, err, Beal
