First time, really. I always get a little choked up, but this time was full blown tears!

My little girl was at my side, watching intently. Tonight we're going to let her stay up as long as she wants and watch the returns with us.

The theft of the last two elections left me terrified today. The tears od joy, I am saving for the polls to close to shed when I hear the first pundit say the magic words; President-Elect Barack Obama.

Seeing a consession speech by a man going back to the Senate to represent Arizona won't hurt either.

My hands were shaking...and I paused and stared at my paper ballot...and my eyes filled up and my lip quivered....and then walked over to the wooden handpainted ballot box and stuffed it in....

I started tearing up in the booth, and have been sniffling all morning. We have a really strong Obama contingent in my office. We are meeting for a little pep rally later today--Barack's Girls (and a few boys).
