E-Mail Exchange with Republican Coworker
Original Message from him:

If I die in my sleep tonight.......it's because I went against my core beliefs and voted for Obama
today.

Pray for me.

Reasons:
1) Without growing middle class- I can't grow financially either.
2) We need change agent for foreign affairs to be viewed differently globally.
3) Did I mention Palin yet?
4) See item 3, it is worth it to be mentioned twice.
5) If things get worse, I can always blame it on you Tony and feel better. LOL

My response to him:

Thanks for the great news Jim and welcome to the United Negro Socialist Muslim States of America. Now I've got to start working on changing Stuhrke's vote in 2012. (Another coworker who's extremely hard-core Republican)

-Tony

2. LOL - at least you and your co-worker have a great sense of humor about it!
ANd that is sooo bad what you wrote back. But it's good that you have a great relationship that you can joke that way.

4. LOL. Hey, at least you guys can joke about it
And yeah, your co-worker's funny. :)

There's too many stories of open warfare in the workplace over politics so hearing of good-natured ribbing like this is always cool.

5. That's cute, and FANTASTIC....
You were able to find an open-minded Republican.

It's election day, and I just got an email from my two neocon friends (married couple) telling me #1 how they suffered by driving 30 miles to see John and Cindy McCain on Sunday night and he got there 2 hours late! Like I care!

They also sent me some viral email that's been going around about Obama being a narcissistic personality, supposedly written by an "expert" in Narcissism.

Do they REALLY think sending this out on the afternoon of election day they will influence someone to vote for McCain?

6. Thanks everyone. I'm lucky to work with a group of very open-minded people.
We've been going back and forth over McCain & Obama since the primaries. He's been leaning towards Obama, but still likes McCain a lot. The thing that pushed him over the edge was Palin. He knows that she's completely unqualified and just couldn't vote for that ticket. Palin has been the biggest gift of this campaign. The gift that keeps on giving. I hope that the Republicans see her as their future and nominate her in 2012.
