Is (or was) Karl Rove a Mormon? |
|
<I know this probably belongs in GD, but as I can't access it right now....)
After all, isn't he originally from Utah?
Why is this relevant you may ask? Well, devout Mormons tend to have a particular world-view that lends itself easily to the type of behavior Karl Rove exhibits. "True Blue Mormons" (TBM's for short) tend to think that since they are on the side of right, that ANY action they perform, if done in the service of their church, is perfectly justified and by definition an act of good. Indeed, TBM's are far worse about this than ANY fundie fanatic I've ever meet. And I say this from experience. I used to BE a TBM.
Could this quality in Rove have transferred to political causes from a prior religious allegiance?
