a caveat - he voted for Obama.
However, he is old-school, bigoted american. His father was the Karl Rove of the 60's. Literally, I'm not kidding. He (the father) was head of Goldwater's campaign here in PA.
Back in '04, when we watched Obama's speech at the convention, the hair rose on the back of my neck and I said that he would be our first AA president. Dh reponded that the rurals would never vote for a n******.
So why did dh vote for Obama? 2 reasons: 1) he saw the writing on the wall, and 2) Palin was unpalatable as VP
Dh has no reason right now, he is sound asleep.

My husband, my beloved MrG, was a Libertarian from an extremely racist Kentucky family when we met. The day I lost him he was a better Democrat than me. These past few months he would have held me up when I had the fear that all was lost.
Your husband will get there...he will.
