So I guess Sarah Palin is the new leader of the Republican Party now. |

2. I doubt it... the money interests that really call the shots |
|
will not want a failure. There will be some meetings and then a new face of the GOP will emerge.

4. I really don't buy that. |
|
I know it's the conventional wisdom, but I still think she's going to get run off, Katherine Harris style. I think that they're mere days from throwing her under the bus. Maybe hours.
I don't expect her anywhere near the top of the ticket in '12. I could (quite obviously) be wrong.

5. No. She's already quickly heading for insignificance. Give it two weeks. |

She gave us so many laughs over the last few weeks. But then we do have plenty of good comedians for that job.
So goodbye Barbie and don't let the door hit ya on the way out.

Especially not her voice. I never thought I'd hear someone whose voice grated on me as much as Dubya's, but I think she has him beat. Gah.

18. I'm guessing the House and Senate leaders and the head of the RNC are all fired |
|
I read that there will be a meeting of party leaders later this week to do a post mortem and chart direction. I've said before that (IMHO -- purely speculation) that the GOP will ask Newt Gingrich to step in as RNC Chair. Whoever is selected for the RNC chair will be charged with quickly developing an obstructionist agenda.
Palin would probably serve herself better by finishing her term, not running again, and going to work for FAUX. I don't think she's a leader, but she is wildly popular with the Freeper base.
