It must have been a moment for him when he heard Obama won....

I immediately thought Jessee Jackson was there on the balcony...and now he is watching MLK's dreams come to life.

7. The RW has been making fun of Jackson's
speech patterns and dialect ever since he became a national figure. They got really bad about it when he was running for president.

You may be very young and not realize any of this. But I'll bet I'm not the only one who finds it embarrassing that the post subject is out here.

Wat

10. It's not genetic or inherited. It IS, however developmental.
Anyone who makes fun of a birth defect like that needs their own head examined.

11. Only if someone teaches you some respect and manners towards an American hero
without whose career I doubt we'd be seeing what we are seeing now with Obama.

16. And I got flamed for bringing up the "open mike incident"
You manage to overdo me and you don't get flamed.

HMmm...

Sincerely, that's how he speaks. He has a radio show as well and he does fine.

The value of a person is not determined by their appearance at birth but by the quality of life they continue to experience. Some very famous and successful people were born with a cleft lip, cleft palate or microform cleft, including Jesse Jackson, British clergywoman Joanna Jepson, Attorney-General of British Columbia Geoff Plant, actors Stacy Keach and Joaquin Phoenix and award winning novelists Michael Helm and Tim Lott. A cleft palate or cleft lip is nothing to be ashamed of or to fear. Thanks to modern technology cleft palate surgery is safer than ever before and can help a child make a full recovery.
