Hey, I've got a great story CNN could run:"Is America Ready for a Black President?" |
|

that should be a good one, boys. I know this is the thing they thrive on. Anything new or fresh like White woman vs. Black man in primary battle. Every episode of BlitzerBlather it was about them doing battle and taking the gloves off.
I am so glad so many pieces of conventional wisdom were turned on their head this election.

1. Wouldn't sell. Everyone knows it won't happen in our lifetimes. Maybe they could run a story |

4. Because coverage of the election and the results has been insipid from the very first second... |
|
Unfortunately I only have CNN...the first Anderson Cooper promo talked about Sasha and Malia.
Charlie Rose was embarassing from the very get go. Larry King, Tom Brokaw, and Brian Williams could only talk about "what this must mean for black america" and repeated this ad nauseum.
There is on top of inane statements about "expectations" and blatantly acting as if GWB is no longer president.
I knew this when we watched the big firms and banks collapse the other week, but there is really something deeply wrong with our press and the cultures of comfort they live in.
I heard a segment on CNN today when they basically played two clips from Rush Limbaugh, and then asked vague questions about it. This is what coverage is going to be? Float limbaugh clips and then get someone other than the anchors to respond? This isn't a sign of desperation?

5. That doesn't really explain why there is a new thread on the topic |
|

coming every hour. But, s'okay. Not saying it isn't a good topic. And, it isn't the only one I've seen lately. People like to start their own threads rather than participate in someone else's. That's pretty standard for DU, maybe the web.
edit: thank you for taking time to reply..

7. It happens with other topics too... |

I just happened to be passing by. I see duplicates on the Latest page all the time.
I enjoy your posts, so please don't listen to my whining.
