Woohooo.... GOP CIVIL WAR BEGINS IN ERNEST! Palin Strikes, "Cruel" "Cowardly" "Jerks" "Immature"

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/07/mccain.palin/index.html

(snip)
(CNN) -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin called former aides of Sen. John McCain "jerks" for circulating unflattering stories about her since the Republican ticket lost its bid for the White House Tuesday.

The stories, which have been attributed to unnamed sources within the McCain campaign, include claims that Palin did not know Africa was a continent instead of a country, or which countries are part of the North American Free Trade Agreement, despite touting her familiarity with neighboring Canada.

Speaking with CNN's Gary Tuchman after returning to Alaska, Palin speculated those stories may have originated with campaign staffers who helped her prepare for her debate with Democratic Vice President-elect Joe Biden.

"Those were taken out of context and that's cruel," Palin said. "It's mean-spirited. It's immature. It's unprofessional and those guys are jerks if they came away with it, taking things out of context, and then tried to spread something on national news."

One source involved in preparing Palin for interviews and the vice-presidential debate told CNN "she had not paid attention to a single policy debate that's gone on in this country for 10 years."

In other news, Palin was seen poking a small McCain doll with pins while visiting her banks safety security deposit vault carrying 13 suitcases.

1. As great as Tuesday was, watching them tear themsleves apart is almost as good
and the best thing is that in the end the extremist loons will win the battle.

2. Yup, go go Palin 2012!
God the Republican primaries are going to be so interesting in 2012. Here's a toast to watching Iowa and South Carolina Republicans tear their party apart.

3. Maybe they will make a reality show "The Palin Drama Show"
The tv station that picked it up would know they have a solid 23% viewershiip.

5. I wonder what side McCain is on
On the one hand, he's gotta be pissed at Palin for ruining his White House dream (I doubt he really blames his own awful campaign).

On the other hand, the damage being done to Palin is coming at least in part from Romney loyalists and he can't like those people too much either.

The drama of it all!

6. She thought Africa was a country. How do you take something like that "out of context"?
Maybe it's because she doesn't answer questions the way you Washington media elites expect them to be answered.

You know, with facts and information.

8. She says she misspoke during a debate prep...
Basically she says she just misspoke, instead of saying continent she said country. She used an example of Obama screwing up one time and saying their were 57 states instead of 50. Actually, her response was solid. Even though I hate her guts, I find it hard to believe she wouldn't know Africa wasn't one country. Even though she went to 6 schools, she does have a college degree. Even basic world geography classes in grade school teach you that sort of thing.

14. Agreed, while Palin is a dangerous twit, there's no doubt Rethugs would love to use her
as someone to take the brunt of the blame for their own epic fail of a campaign. Bottom line, never trust what a rethug says, whether it's Palin or McCain's aides attacking Palin. Just enjoy the show. :D

16. The lady thinks dinosaurs and humans co-existed.
it really doesn't seem like that much of a stretch. I don't think she's the brightest bulb in the chandelier.
