Have you seen last night's "New Rules?"
Bill Maher made an excellent point about the right wing's vicious and unmerciful harassment of Bill Clinton's years in the White House.

I would think that after the past 8 years, they would lay off Obama. However, I just can't see them doing that.

But Bush's presidency did, in my opinion, completely raise the bar on impeachment standards. Republican standards, that is.

After all that Bush has done, the GOP had better come strong when bringing up investigations/impeachment talk.

2. NEVER, and I mean NEVER, count on the RW repukes to do the thing that
would seem like the humane, intelligent thing to do.

They area perfect example of the Scorpion in the Tale of the Turtle and the Scorpion:

The story is about a scorpion asking a frog to carry him across a river. The frog is afraid of being stung, but the scorpion reassures him that if it stung the frog, the frog would sink and the scorpion would drown as well. The frog then agrees; nevertheless, in mid-river, the scorpion stings him, dooming the two of them. When asked why, the scorpion explains, "I'm a scorpion; it's my nature."

There is also a lesson to be learned from this story that applies to the arrogance of someone assuming that they will be treated better than others have been treated by someone who has shown no kindness in the past.
