And paste in the URL of the Youtube you want to save. You will then be given an option (on the next page) to save it in high quality. This will save it in a format that you can play with Quicktime.

13. How to keep YouTube videos w/out any special software

1, Clean your cache (temp int files), cookies, etc.

2, Watch your video on YouTube in Internet Explorer (Firefox, as much as I love it - hides this pretty well)

3. In your cache you will now see a file named get_video with no extension. Copy that file.

4. Paste file on your desktop or whatever drive you want to keep the video.

5. Rename the file whatever you want (Obama Speech 06-07-08) and add the extension .flv.

6. Make sure you have all your codecs up to date. Just get K-Lite or one of the other "packs"

7. Watch video anytime you want.
