Obama talked about the idea of a cabinet of rivals many times, and always said he was gonna appoint
people with different opinions than his, and when he does it, people flip a bitch.

what gives?

1. This "team of rivals" concept can be taken too far. Some people are lightening rods for controversy
... with all the challenges we need to tackle, we need people who don't attract polarization within this nation. HRC's husband can not stay out of the spotlight for long. He would be a profound impediment to HRC's functioning as SOS. I just don't want anymore Clintonian Soap Operas. Many of us Americans have had *enough* of this saga.

3. I think Obama is thinking about the power of the Clinton name
and the good it could do in repairing our relationship with the rest of the world.

I'm well aware of your concern of the Clinton "takeover" of the WH, but their influence would be focused- and, if Obama does things right, she really could be the right pick.
