I'm not sure what's worse
The people who insist Kerry is doing fine despite the fact that the BS charge yanked out of the Bushies' collective ass are sticking to him like glue (thanks to the mainstream media), or the doom and gloom "THE SKY IS FALLING! KERRY IS BEHIND BY TWO POINTS IN THE FOX AND AOL POLLS! GET YOUR TINFOIL HATS!" people.

I personally believe that for all the shit the * campaign has been flinging, that Kerry has held up remarkably well. The Smear Boat Liars For Rove storm has blown through, and to be quite honest they did not do as much damage to Kerry's reputation as they could have. As history has demonstrated, most incumbents have had consistent, healthy double-digit leads by this time. Bush, obviously, does not. He is weak in several areas that, if exploited properly, could flush his campaign down the electoral commode.

The Kerry camp, however, has been a bit too silent for my liking. I'm a graduate of the James Carville school of thought, and reading him has taught me that elections need to be a choice between the "something" and the "something better" rather than something and nothing. Now that the playing field of finance has been leveled, Kerry has the green light to attack Dumbya on all fronts--like Iraq, the economy, health care, and yes--even the War on Terra.

My message to the cheerleaders who have their heads in the sand: Please wake up and smell the coffee. While Kerry's camp is doing an acceptable job, he could be doing infinitely better, and I think we need to make it known to him and his people that he should become more aggressive.

My message to the people who are Chicken Little disciples: Read up on election history. If the books have anything to say, then * is in trouble, no matter how much the media tries to bury it or the administration tries to lie about it or ignore it.

I guess what my message is is this: Kerry could be MUCH more aggressive. A bit more punch to this campaign would do it a world of good. However, the sky is not going to cave in and fall if Kerry slips a couple of points in the polls because the media whores are busy fellating the Boy King after the Rethug Hatefest.

I also want to debunk the myth of the uninterested swing voter. As George Will (yes, THE George Will) reported recently in Newsweek, the small percentage that is invariably unaccounted for in all polls leading up to the election is unaccounted for mainly because they are unenthusiastic about the incumbent--and history says they break for the challenger by a large margin.

That's the end of my rant. Flames are welcome.

2. What do you expect him to do??? He has to fight the media, this
lying administration who has the right wing talking hate mongers on radio 24/7 every station around the country spewing lies the cable news and most of the regular media. I see him out there giving speeches and working his ass off. What do you want him to do???

3. ????
All I said was that a bit of punch that could match the KKKarl Rove juggernaut would be good. Kerry doesn't have that strong-arm man that Bush has. If you recall, I also said that Kerry has weathered the storm well.

6. It's ok
My message is to both sides of the spectrum: Be optimistic, but not so much that it blinds you to any hazards.

4. i like that they are using edwards to immediately come back
on what bush or cheney says. and it is getting on the news. i think this is the important thing they do all the way thru. example tomorrow want to see him say something about bush says saddam would be in there if kerry president..........adn then come back with one of his funnies that make a good sound bite like lemonade stands and cake sales will give us a booming society

this is the big thing i would add to the campaign. kerry is out there. they just need to immediately swat the fly as soon as bush and cheney puts it out. and since those two do it in lie or stupid, should be easy as pie

7. Carville
Maybe Carville should take a leave of absence for the next two months and give all his time to the campaign. If that isn't possible is there anyway to get Zell Miller back from whoever snatched his body, the one who praised Kerry only two years ago?

8. State Demos say Kerry must fight harder
http://www.dailystar.com/dailystar/relatedarticles/37914.php Grijalva, in a separate interview that same day, said the time has come for Kerry to "really go after" the president on issues that have always done well for Democrats: the economy and education.
