Change.gov security problems
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/11/20/barack_obama_website_insecurity/

The failure of Obama's webmasters to follow anything remotely like best practices is more than a little troubling because it suggests they don't fully grasp the security realities of living in a Web 2.0 world. Miscreants have been all too happy to exploit weaknesses in Facebook and MySpace even when they amount to little more than pranks. Imagine the damage that could be done by someone publishing an errant blog post or malicious hyperlink to the website belonging to the President of the United States.

1. I'd like to know more about this. I read the article
and the web site managers at whatever company was contracted to do it seems to be the problem, not Barack Obama, himself.

Hopefully the writers of that piece in the register have had direct contact with the Obama trasition team folks..(phone numbers are available, as are email addresses).

Let me know when these problems of web site security have been fixed.

2. What is this "s" after http they speak of?
I'm a Luddite, so maybe I'm just not getting it, but do they mean that properly secure websites start out as "https://"?

3. It means the communication data is encrypted
You wouldn't want to send passwords or credit card data over a non-secure connection.
