Is it feasible for Gaithner to become Treasury Secretary right away?
Discussed today on one of the Sunday talk shows (not sure but I think Chuck Todd brought it up on MSNBC), that, for the good of the country, Bush could ask Paulson to leave and simply appoint Gaithner to be Treasury Sec'y. Of course, the idea of Bush doing something good for the country is pretty unimaginable, but hey...

Is this being seriously considered? I've lived as an adult under 9 presidents and I have never heard anything like this! I am astounded that it's even being discussed, much less considered...

(note: somebody help me with the spelling of our soon to be T Sec'y, please!)

4. I guess that's why the option of having Paulson step aside and Bush hiring Gaithner
was suggested. It is still Bush administration.

I was just amazed that the subject was being broached...

5. The media continues to be a joke

wild speculation and finger pointing is all they are good at now. Even talking about Bush appointing Obamas choice as treasury is ridiculous.

Even liberals in the media do it now. Rachel Maddow was busy speculating on what we could do about Bush's pardons (which haven't even happened yet).

7. Yeah, I heard that too. It is remarkable. Seems to me if Bush, Geithner and Obama agree...
then why not. I like it.
