1. thank you!
Some folks seem to have forgotten he did some good things.

I didn't agree with everything he did, but he was much better than the alternative.

4. Bill Clinton's economy was so good, it created Republicans greedy to keep more.
People who hit 18 about the time Bill took office and benefited greatly from his economy often ended up Republicans by the end of his term, because they had never realized how bad life is under GOP rule. They actually bought the lies the GOP tells about how they were allegedly fiscally conservative.

19. No but NAFTA hurt us with jobs that went to Mexico and let's face it...
NAFTA was the Free Trade Gateway drug. Once NAFTA was fine and dandy, every other trade agreement was as well.

31. They might as well be.
NAFTA didn't just open the door to outsourcing jobs to Canada and Mexico. It was an official gov't position that implicitly sanctioned the outsourcing of jobs in general. After NAFTA how could anyone argue that it's okay to outsource jobs to Canada and Mexico but not to China and Indonesia?

9. I don't want the f*king Clinton's back, I don't care what the record looked like on paper.
Thing did start to fall apart after he left office and there was always one shady dealing or the suggestion of one constantly in the news. And, then there was the lie about him not having sex with Monica with a cigar. Ugh, I want to move on and away from the Clinton's.

14. Let's not forget the 1996 Telecom deregulation gave us the bigger and better media
conglomerates we now have.

Bill Clinton stated "we will support removal of judicial and legislative restrictions on all types of telecommunications companies: cable, telephone, utilities, television and satellite. Market forces replace regulations and judicial models that are no longer appropriate."

Bill Clinton did a lot of good things as President, but when he fucked up he did it in a big way.

Passed in the House via a "voice" vote.

Ahh......remember the good old days.......What I remember most is there were jobs, jobs, jobs, and the salaries were fantastic, especially in the tech field. It's sad how far we have fallen because of the election of the stupidest, most stubborn A-hole on the planet. I'm so glad he will be gone!!

I'm hoping Obama will take from the good things that Clinton did and learn from the pitfalls and mistakes as well.

If he does, I think he will do a good job.

excuse me while I puke.

Where are all the conservatives coming from?
DU used to be a Progressive/Liberal Forum.

28. C'mon Clinton supporters! Clap louder! Or else Tinkerbell will die!!!!

http://crookedtimber.org/2003/09/08/think-of-a-wonderful-thought/
You remember how in the second act Tinkerbell drinks some poison that Peter is about to drink in order to save him? And then Peter turns to the audience and he says, “Tinkerbell is going to die because not enough people believe in fairies. But if all of you clap your hands real hard to show that you do believe in fairies, maybe she won’t die.”

So, we all started to clap. I clapped so long and so hard that my palms hurt and they even started to bleed I clapped so hard. Then suddenly the actress playing Peter Pan turned to the audience and she said, “That wasn’t enough. You did not clap hard enough. Tinkerbell is dead.” And then we all started to cry. The actress stomped off stage and refused to continue with the production. They finally had to lower the curtain. The ushers had to come help us out of the aisles and into the street
