1. I want a thread all with pictures of Obama wearing suits. Or what about a thread with Obama holding
books?

2. My heart goes out to him.
He's had a colossal pile of shit dumped into his lap. Bush looks like he's about to croak. He's given a whole new meaning to 'lame duck'. Jesus. I hope anyone with positive vibes here will send them to PRESIDENT-elect Obama. Notice that 'elect' part is shrinking daily. Obama is the only President we have right now.

5. No! He cannot eat that junk food now. He needs excellent nutrition to keep
him in prime shape. I read that he and Michelle are sort of health food nuts.

13. Yes, it did. Not good at all. I am a diabetic, type 2.
For whatever reason at age 29 and at a normal weight I ended up this way. Had gestational diabetes and it never went away. Doctors said it was the back to back pregnancies I had. I know how important health is. Taking care of his health should be a top priority for Obama. Its tough to be president, look at them when they leave office. They age 20 years per an 8 year term.

14. You are right. When you look at pictures before and after their
administrations it looks like decades have passed.

There was a show on TV last week talking about the epidemic of diabetes among children. They said it
had to do with the generally poor diet/fast food, and they said the advent of high fructose corn syrup
has had a deadly effect on the population. They were saying that the medical costs of this epidemic
will be overwhelming in a decade or two.

15. I know they are foodies and big fans of Rick Bayless
but hadn't heard they were health food types other than being sensible eaters.

17. No but it's donuts....
... which is second only to cupcakes as the greatest baked good ever (shhh, dont tell anyone I said that.)

And I feel ya on the Krispy Kremes but he's in Chicago and some parts of the US aren't hip yet. Poor fella.

Here, if I were a man with a beard and glasses, this is what I would look like....

21. dont ya hate it! I've gained 5lbs just from looking at the picture...
.... but if I had to guess about it, the only pie he eats was on the campaign trail for public consumption (pardon the pun.) Remember the big flap about him losing the "fat vote" because he was a health food snob?

And those donuts ...... and the pie last week .... and the cupcakes for Joe's birthday .... ALL for other people.

Sasha and Malia leaked to the press that his food indulgences seem to be limited to an occasional pie and mint gum.

And .... those morning pick up games dont hurt either.

Like, from February?

I remember seeing it before. Yep:

The donuts and box o' joe were for his campaign staff.

But still ITS BARACK OBAMA HOLDING A BOX OF DONUTS!!! IT"S WONDERFUL!!!!

19. I was more impressed with the box o' joe
Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the (very) occasional donut but man oh man, until I saw that photo, I had no idea that there existed such a thing as a box o' joe. I'm telling you, I had fantasies about it. I'm strange like that. I do so love coffee. :hi:

20. Tell me more about this box of joe picture.....
.... if there is anything that goes well with donuts and pie and, yes, even cupcakes, it's coffee.

I thought he was a (coffee) tee-totaller.

22. I beleive he is a non-coffee fellow
But as was stated, the box o' joe and donuts were for his staff. I found this on flicker - from the fateful day I discovered they sell coffee by the box:

?v=0

Incidentally, Starbucks also sells coffee by the box:

wheee!
