Sec. Interior, Climate Change Czar, Chief Underwater basket weaver whatever he wants, but everytime I see Al (he is on Oprah right now) I am reminded of the missed opportunity we have had by him being in the private sector for the past 8 years. The pain of the 2000 election is not diminished for me and it will never be gone. We have gained so much with President-Elect Obama, but I think his administration would be richer with the addition of Vice President Gore.

I love Obama, but imagine what the past 8 years would have been like with Gore.

1. Al Gore can do far more good outside of someone else's Administration.

3. Al Gore is a treasure. I am still angry
about 2000 election. I am especially angry that TN had rather have a beer with Dubya than have a good president. I hope those voters realize how much that beer cost them for the last 8 years. I am ashamed of my state.

5. I'm from Texas originally...I know shame all too well.
I am now a proud adopted Chicagoan like Obama, so I have so much pride that he is a hometown guy!

My anger will never diminish from 2000. I will never, ever forgive.

4. Climate Change Czar is the most likely.
Not sure how that would be structured and where it would fit in the Obama administration but I hope it happens. We need him.

6. Gore has said he will not accept any government post. But..
he has already given Obama his five step plan and has launched another round of lectures, speeches and tv appearances to sell it to the American Public.

The five elements of the plan are:

* Incentives for construction of concentrating solar-thermal power plants in the southwest, wind farms in the Midwest, and plants in geothermal "hot spots."
* A $400 billion investment over 10 years to build a "national smart grid" to distribute renewable energy, which he said would quickly offset the annual $120 billion loss from power grid failures. The power grid can be outfitted so that consumers have better tools and information for conserving energy.
* Aid to automakers to convert to the production of plug-in hybrids. Smart-grid technology that enables the cars to be charged during off-peak hours.
* A nationwide effort to retrofit buildings, which account for 40 percent of carbon dioxide emissions, to be more energy-efficient.
* Climate regulations to cap carbon dioxide emissions.
