Opposition unites. Power divides.
Edited on Fri Nov-28-08 11:06 AM by Donald Ian Rankin
The big thing that pretty much all DUers have had in common over the last eight years is the belief that Bush was Wrong. That fact was so overwhelming and discussed so much that the subsidiary question of "if not that, then what" didn't get asked so much.

Now that the left is in power, that unifying factor has been removed. Expect DU to get much more acrimonious over the next four (or hopefully eight) years.

2. Hello, what POWER? It's another verse of the "fleecing of the liberal democrats"

Last time it was by the Clinton Presidency, now it's by the Obama Presidency.

DAMMIT! At least Bush threw more than "crumbs" at their base.

I'm truly beginning to rethink my loyalties because the Democratic Party has almost fully morphed into part of one big Right-Wing Corporatist Duopoly.

Yes, I'm depressed because he's not even going to raise taxes on the bloated wealthy upper 1% of wage earners. :grr:

I was never more politically DEPRESSED when noting that the "liberal democrats" in both the House and Senate voting to bail out (corporate welfare) the super rich.
