A simple question:
If the Republican Party is the GOP for all these years, then what is the Democratic Party?

How come we've never had a nickname with our own handy little acronym, too?

What, only the repukes can have one?

7. I don't understand your post. Are you upset that Republicans got a nickname after they formed their
party or at Democrats because they never did? I don't think you're going to get anything now.

8. To be honest, it kind of bugs me the media is always calling them by ther nickname's acronym the GOP
Same for the Repukes themselves. They always run around bragging that they're members of the GOP because it sounds better or something.

I just don't like them having any unfair advantages, even if it's something as petty as that. Or is it so petty?

9. I don't know, but I don't see the big deal using nickname that's over a hundred years old.
..back when they were a decent party. I don't have problem referring to them as that because it's historical. Any name that we use for Democrats wouldn't stick because it hasn't been around as long.

11. It certainly didn't help Dino Rossi any.
That idiot put "GOP" in all his campaign commercials and print ads, tried to leech Obama's "change" message as his own, and ending up getting far less votes than last time, when he almost stole the governor's mansion.

12. I like the Democratic Party just fine
GOP sounds like an acronym for a spy operation or something and Grand Old Party has the word old in it. Either way, I don't want anything like that attached to the Democratic Party.

What I don't understand is why we let them call us the Democrat Party and we don't retaliate by calling them the Republic Party.
