Scenes from Obamas' love story
Awwww....

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-obama-romance-bd-30-nov30,0,4388783.story?xid=rss-page

In keeping with a time-honored tradition, Barack and Michelle Obama cast their presidential ballots together on Election Day. They stood in side-by-side booths looking every bit the poised, professional power couple.

Then Michelle Obama went off script.

Flanked by their two daughters, she reached over and gently touched her husband's arm. For the briefest of moments, she abandoned her role as would-be first lady, with all its practiced gestures, and marked the occasion as a wife.

Over the last two years the future first couple has made a practice of sharing such small, intimate moments on the grandest of stages, whether trading fist bumps, whispering "I love you" or stealing quick kisses on the campaign trail.

The Obamas' unabashed affection for each other suggests they could become the one of the most engaging sets of lovebirds in White House history. Though the home has known many deeply committed couples (as well as some infamously uncommitted), few were as young, attractive or willing to put their passion on public display.

"Her enthusiasm during the campaign brought them closer," said Dan Shomon, a former aide who managed Obama's earliest campaigns. "I think their love grew because she has been his biggest cheerleader."

1. Thank you for posting this...
What a great story!

How lucky they are to have this great love...

And how lucky we are to have them leading our country!

2. Rec'd because I just can't get enough of seeing
these two. I'm so glad they have each other and their girls; these relationships will make our president stronger and happier. He married his best friend. How cool is that?!

3. Ha - my husband and I had the same golf issue while the kids were young and high maintenance.
I can relate, Michelle. :)

They get bigger and then it doesn't matter anymore. (In fact I like not having my Republican husband around on Sunday mornings while I watch or purposely ignore the yapping-pundit shows.)

5. Yes, They WILL Be Having Sex in the White House.
It's another way that they are re-defining the White House.

Not a marriage of convenience, not a marriage of politics, not even so much a marriage of power brokers, even though they are a "power couple".

It's a marriage built on old fashioned "values" of love, trust and respect... with some serious hormones/passion mixed in.

Now I understand why the Republicans had to resort to "Babykiller". Because they couldn't pretend that he didn't have "family values"!!!

We have elected a good man. It's a wonderful feeling.

6. I love watching them. They are such a real couple and they truly
love each other. I like a man that loves his family being the President of this country. I'm so glad we got him elected!
