This is regarding the big 3. I mean, hello? Did I miss something? Constitutionally he is not the president yet. Its sad that Shrub does nothing but what else can he do, he cannot over step his role by law.

4. Campbell Brown is annoying.
Everyone who does their own "commentary" brings some sort of bias into it, so I reject her bullshit show name. And she only gets "outraged" about the MSM talking point du jour. Borrrring.

supplant bush.. take it to the bank

9. Not to defend Canmpbell Brown or anything, but
Obama is free to lobby Congress, and if he so much as puts out a press release favoring a specific bailout plan for the big 3, that might well result in his preferred plan being adopted. If the alternative is that the big 3 go under, I sure hope he endorses a plan even though he's not President yet.

12. Obama has to tread lightly
Edited on Fri Dec-05-08 10:12 PM by MadMaddie
You know just as well as I do that if Obama appears or is perceived to be acting in a presidential capacity (even though monkey boy is awol)the shit would hit the fan.

Obama is doing the right thing, more than likely he is working behind the scenes and not in the public eye.

When Jan 20th gets here I gotta a feeliing we will be hearing just how active he was during this time.

13. he has been active
his economic advisors have been working overtime on this and he has been talking to members of Congress (according to news reports). I suspect that he could get away with gving the nod to a specific plan though I agree with you that he has to tread lightly.

17. I agree with what you said
"...more than likely he is working behind the scenes and not in the public eye."

That's it. He should be on the phone letting Pelosi and Reid know what he would like to inherit. But he should not be out making speeches and appearing to already be president.

I think he probably is doing just what you say, and that's the right thing to do.

She's on at the same time as KO and O'Asshole.
She has to be at the bottom of that group.

who you put in that slot from CNN, they won't be watched. Ask Paula Zahn, Aaron Brown, et cetera. Ms. Brown is preg. again, so she will be off air soon. If we are lucky, they will put a REAL NEWS show on then.

16. Respectfully dissent
Whatever deal is struck now will be implemented by the Obama adminstration. Obama is going to get saddled with something, we just don't know what yet.

He should be involved behind the scenes (and he probably is), so Congress will know what is going to be acceptable to his adminstration. The problems and mistakes belong to Bush. But the fix is really entirely Obama's. And nothing major should be done without knowing in advance that its what Obama wants.

Just my opinion.

18. If Obama did more, they'd accuse him of staging a coup.
The guy can't win. As it is, he's got far more accomplished in his transition period than any other POTUS-elect and he's still got 6 weeks to go. Why don't they ask why Shrub isn't showing some leadership?

23. Ms. Dan Senor is a corporate whore propagandist.
It is laughable that they put her on a show titled "unbiased" or some such nonsense.

She's one of the worst.

The corporate propaganda Wurlitzer must be dismantled.

22. Uck...
Campbell Brown's new show is a vapid, thinly veiled attempt by CNN to have an Olbermann/Maddow style pundit, based on her one-time "off-script" rant a couple of months ago. The key difference is that Olbermann and Maddow are a) really smart and b) aren't shilling for their corporate daddies 5 nights a week.
