SCOTUS daily orders: Watch out for exploding freeper heads! hehe
No cert in Obama Case.

The SCOTUS orders for today came out several hours ago, and cert was not granted in this case.

Today’s orders list is available here. http://www.supremecourtus.gov/orders/courtorders/120508zr.pdf The Court granted certiorari in two cases — al-Marri v. Pucciarelli (08-368) and Gross v. FBL Financial Services, Inc. (08-441) — filings for which are available after the jump.

1. What is the implication ?
Does this fact imply that they have rejected the case ?

Does this suspend the effort ? ... Is there still time to grant certiorari in this case ?

4. .
The Court met today to decide whether to grant cert to bump the case up from the lower court to be considered by the SCOTUS. No cert means no case before the S Court. No further consideration of this case is in the offing that I'm aware of.

2. The freeps have you covered on this one

This one is adorable:

"If the Supreme Court accepted this case, and are tight lipped about it, they would not put it on their website because of the explosiveness. They could put out a warning to the Executive branch to quietly takes steps to prepare for the announcement."

It's like Japanese soldiers stuck on Pacific Islands for decades, not knowing the war was over...

5. Well, in truth...
...the SCOTUS have so far only listed the cases for which they have granted cert, not those they have denied. That list is to be released Monday. Until such a list is released, with this case on it, it is technically possible that they're still debating it. Unlikely, but possible. We'll know for sure on Monday.
