Obama Will Pardon Bush
And I believe Obama will make that known very soon. He'll begin getting America focused on the future and that'd be the quickest way to "heal the nation" sadly enough.

72. Prosecute those around Bush
Go for the blatant stuff. Firing attorneys, stealing money (Iraq contracts,) stuff like that.

If they get away with it, it will just be repeated.

77. Exactly. If the principals get away with it again, they WILL be back. They didn't buy control of
broadcast newsmedia in the 80s and 90s for nothing. They know exactly how to control public perception IF another Dem administration allows them to manipulate the news cycles and the room to rehabilitate their legacy - ala Reagan and Bush1.

Now, if he does pardon him though hopefully he wont allow Bush to hide what he did and will release all the files possible about things like did Bush knowingly lie about the WMDs or not in Iraq, that way atleast the nation knows the real Bush for sure and Bush wont be able to whitewash his "legacy" by hiding stuff for decades until peoples memory fades.
I hope he doesnt pardon him thought but be he seems like the type of person who might do it if he feels that the greater good for the nation might be served by not dragging our nation further down with the fight that would occur over any attempt at charging bush or his gang in a court for the crimes most of us suspect they have commited.

Obama would not want to enrage the whole world.

It would be his first humongous mistake as I see it.

Though I don't think he will cheer-lead, I think he will not hinder the evaluation/examination/pursuit of Bush et al if others step up to the plate and do it.

Pardoning Bush would be admitting that Bush is a criminal and then refusing to do anything about it.

More likely, because Obama seems focused on the future and not out for revenge, he will just pretend that Bush is not a criminal and not push for any charges or serious investigations.

There is no sound reason or excuse to let them pass without a scratch after having lied, murdered and stolen their way through our highest offices.

Who here is comfortable with just letting them go their merry way? I most certainly am not!

Bush will lead a wealthy life of leasure in Dallas and his ranch, probably playing golf and trying to make some money by making speeches. Cheney will make huge sums as a consultant and the rest of the merry crew of former Bushites will also rake in the bucks working for think tanks and corporations.

Nothing to see here people, move on.....
