Vote in this MSNBC poll; connection between Obama to Blagojevich? |
|
Please keep kicked. http://www.polls.newsvine.com/_question/2008/12/10/2197979-do-you-think-the-charges-against-gov-blagojevich-will-hurt-president-elect-obamas-administrationCurrently58.7% - No; there is no evidence that Obama was involved in the alleged corruption 12.6% - Possibly; he began his career in the city and his inner circle is dominated by Chicago veterans 25% - Yes; I'd be surprised if there hadn't been communication about the Senate seat between the two sides 3.6% - I'm not sure yet

1. Done, but how did we devolve to this point? |
|

18. You missed my point. It is a misleading choice, saying that if Obama even talked to Blago, he is |
|
automatically involved. We all know perfectly well that is false and misleading. We've seen arguments like this before. It's like the 'I support the troops' horse waste.
Your comment sounded like you thought I didn't believe or understand that of course Obama is clean. It bugs me because of how hard I worked to help him. I am a huge fan and I love and appreciate him and his family.
That is all.

6. Since when did we decide guilt or innocence based off an online poll? |
|
For MSNBC to put such a poll up when they know there is no evidence of a connection only serves to legitimize baseless accusations. I refuse to participate in their game, I am not going to vote in a poll that was set up with the intent to make people think that an innocent person may have committed crimes.

msnbc news line that stated, "Obama tries to distance himself from blago" and I knew what they're trying to do.
Create a controversary for ratings when there are none.
We need media reform and Obama's the guy to do it.
msnbc and all that shit is like a little celebrity rag that polls who looks best in the same dress.

10. Aside from that the poll intentionally equates communication between two Illinois officials |
|
With conspiracy to accept bribes, why is this a poll question anyway? Regardless of what people think about it, it happened or it didn't.

According to the New York Times, it was a phone call *from* Obama that got the ball rolling on this.

The campaign to smear Obama before he can enact any substantive reforms is underway!
Let's ask an unscientific sample of under-informed people (this just happened yesterday - I personally haven't read the indictment) what THEY think based on a vaguely worded internet poll.
And then show that nearly a third of voters think the scandal will effect the Obama Administration.
And then we'll show video clips of Dan Rostenkowski and every other crooked Chicago politician over the last forty years and suggest that Obama is "part of a disturbing pattern" of political corruption in Chicago.
I don't even need to get the memo from the RNC to see this one coming.

But I think the title of the poll is complete and utter bullshit -- a classic no-win type of question that links Obama to the scandal anyway. A classic "When did you stop beating your wife" type of thing -- that, as well as the second question.
So when do we begin hearing about this with the preface, "The scandal that threatens to overshadow the incoming administration..."?
The media are a joke. But then, most of us already knew that.
