Glad I had my house party tonight. When our GOP congressman decides to vote against Health Care or an economic stimulus package I guarentee I have 200 middle class people to show up at his local office in protest and I'm calling the media before we do it. That fucking weasel doesn't have a clue what I'm organizing against him.

22 people came.
All committed to helping Barack and the party in the future.
I aslo got universal commitment to helping a fellow Obama Campaign's volunteer coordianator's charity that works with inner city family's that are struggling. I'm in the suburbs (but focused primarily in inner city Allentown during the election) so they are all willing to lend their talent and education and time to that group to better the kids and adults wanting help down there.

They are already getting ready to run Palin in 2112. They intend to fight Obama on every front, on every issue.
Everyone who worked to elect O has to promise to send money and support to ANYONE running against a GOPuke, especially a GOPuke Senator.
We were able to stamp out smallpox, right? How hard could it be to eliminate Republicanism?

Isn't the 2008 election already over? Did I miss something? What in the world is the RNC hoping to accomplish by releasing an attack ad over this? Do they really think that they're going to gain a lot of political "mileage" over THIS -particularly when Fitzgerald has already gone out of his way to dismiss speculation that Obama is potentially guilty of any wrongdoing? :wtf: :silly::wtf: :silly::wtf::silly: :wtf::silly: :wtf::silly: :wtf::silly: :wtf::silly: :wtf: :silly::wtf: :silly::silly::wtf: :silly::wtf::silly: :wtf: :silly::wtf::silly: :wtf: :silly::wtf: :silly::wtf::silly: :wtf: :silly:

Even though they know they can't prove anything (as evidenced by the "proof" they have in the ad), they want to drag him down.

I know exactly what's really going on. The a**hats simply can't believe that they lost ("What? We don't lose!!!! We NEVER lose!!!") and I can just feel another few years coming on of them doing nothing but dealing in baseless, scurrilous allegations in an attempt to demonize and de-legitimize Obama while the country proceeds on its journey to oblivion. OTOH these sort of tactics may not play as well for them now as they seemed to in the 1990's, for example, when.....I guess.....we, as a country, apparently had surprisingly few REAL problems to deal with, as well as a surprisingly large amount of time to endlessly obsess about our then-allegedly murderous, coke-addicted, rapist President, as well as his allegedly adulterous, corrupt, ball-busting, lesbian wife.
:eyes:
I just wonder how, with all of the SIGNIFICANTLY more serious problems (i.e. the economy) affecting EVERYBODY in our country right now, just how well these kind of antics will play nowadays? I'd like to believe that people have largely begun to turn their back on the Republican's political tactics and, if this past election was any kind of indication, that seems like it might just be the case and if the worm has truly turned, the Republicans are going to be doomed to electoral oblivion (oh please oh please oh please!!!!) if they keep s**t like THIS up IMHO.

25. What disturbs me the most is that the Repubs refuse to admit |
|
or even recognize that something is seriously wrong with the present republican party. Even after getting their butts kicked in the GE, they continue to wallow in their own delusional, misguided self importance. The sheep who follow also allow themselves to wallow in the stench, blind, oblivious and in total denial that their values (party and supporters) are not the values of this country as a whole.
It's hard to believe that a national party allows itself to continue this way. They've become a real turnoff to the majority of Americans.
The republican party and it's current flock of dodo bird supporters is in need of a serious REALTY CHECK.
Now would be the perfect time for a Green, Third party or Indie party to take the lead and represent true conservatism instead of the abomination that the party of conservatives has become. Even though I'm a Dem for life, I'd welcome the change.

30. Their delusional nature IS rather quite disturbing |
|
It would be nice if we had a more principled opposition like we seemed to have had pre-Clinton where everybody, dispite their disagreements, still tried to work together for the common good and could still relate to each other in a civil and respectful manner (i.e. NOT calling the opposition "traitors" or "terrorist-appeasers" for simply disagreeing with them). Starting in 1994 the "bomb throwers" led by Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh, and members of the religious right (later joined by their pundit-clones on Fox News in 1996) took complete control of the Republican party and essentially turned it into what is today and it actually seemed to work o.k. for them electorally until about 2005-2006, although I suspect that their ability to maintain power that long had a lot to do with 09/11 and their shameless exploitation thereof. I don't know exactly what took (most) people so long to realize that having the Republicans in charge of government (particularly since most Republicans make no bones about how much they HATE government) is not good for the long-term well being and safety of our country but I sense a real opening now for some positive long-term change for our country and, hopefully, for the Republicans to try to marginalize the more radical elements of their party, although it may be too far gone since the "bomb throwers" still seem to be firmly in charge of it now and most of the moderates have been marginalized themselves, purged from the party, and/or they have simply abandoned the party altogether and become "independent". I suspect that if the radicals in the Republican maintain their lock on the party we may see some more 3rd Party Lieberman-esque "independent" parties developing and/or coalescing into a more "moderate" conservative entity. Who knows?
However, as a Democrat, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I think Obama will try to work with the Republicans whom are genuinely interested in trying to solve this country's problems and manage to avoid the slings and arrows (and bombs) coming at him from the radicals but we will all still need to be there to support him (and our fellow Dems in Congress).

and see how many hits it can get......so that the corporate news network can air it for them for free, as usual.
That's one of the reasons I ain't about to look at that shit. They ain't getting my viewership to help them with their quest....although I'm sure that Morning Joe will be happy to oblige them.

70% of Americans are desperately wanting to see the Obama administration succeed. The last thing they want to see is more political attacks.
This does not help them at all.
