Al Gore unleashes fury for Kerry!
Edited on Mon Sep-13-04 09:35 AM by gauguin57
Hope this isn't a dupe ...

http://asia.news.yahoo.com/040912/ap/d8529ktg1.html

If only Al had been like this in 2000. *sigh* ... but better late than never! RAISE HELL, AL!

snip ...

"Speaking with a freedom and passion less frequently seen in his own political campaigns, Gore is happily making speeches, raking in money and generally raising hell for John Kerry and the Democratic Party these days. In his spare time, he's also teaching at three universities and raising money for himself through various business ventures.

"In recent weeks and months, as an uncensored voice for the Democratic cause, Gore has skewered President Bush's team for moral cowardice, the "lowest sort of politics imaginable," aligning itself with "digital brownshirts" who intimidate the press, and political tactics as craven as those of Richard Nixon. Just to cite a few examples.

"It's red meat for loyal Democrats, to whom Gore is the embodiment of what is at stake on Nov. 2."

2. He looks like some sort of frontier preacher ....
... with the long hair and snarling expression.

He's lookin' pretty ... SOLID ... these days ... I worry he'll meet the same fate as his former partner in governance (Big Dog).

With Clinton laid up, incidentally, we need someone out there preaching the Democratic Gospel with fervor!

4. Wow
He totally called Bush a fundamentalist. I think I'm in love. Seriously, though, why would Kerry's team be worried? Tepidness is what's been doing us in for years. Get us fired up, Al!

5. If he hadn't been cursed with DLC advisors
those timid, focus group driven little old ladies in pants, and had campaigned like this, there is NO WAY the election would have been close enough to be stolen by the Bush family.

Now I see the same conservative screwups trying to control the Kerry campaign. I am so angry I could strangle them all with a smile on my face.

Dump the DLC! Get them the hell out of power! They only know how to LOSE elections!

9. I would have voted for THIS Al Gore
I voted for Nader, TWICE, in 1996 and 2000, because I didn't see the leadership of the party willing to stand up for working people. After all, they were the ones who forced "Welfare Reform", NAFTA, and most-favored nation status for China down our throats (with a little help from the GOP congress).

But if THIS AL Gore would have been on the stump in 2000, talking and acting like a REAL DEMOCRAT, there never would have been a Nader candidacy. IMHO if Nader had seen this Al Gore, he would have seen the writing on the wall and dropped out.

I'm glad to see Gore so fired up-- maybe his fire will infiltrate the top of the Kerry campaign. Fire those damned DLC "advisors" who seem to think the future of the party lies with the money men on Wall Street, and give the party back to the working women and men on Main Street.

GO AL GO!!!

18. Folks, I saw this Al Gore in Atlanta twice and at his home
That is why I was fighting so hard for him. I also saw Kerry recently this enraged. Some didn't believe me then and won't believe me now. The cameras never show the real thing.

20. yes, but i was referring to Ralph Nader part
what i found hard to believe was that Ralph Nader would not have ran if Gore had been the way he is now in 2000.

...little old ladies. Little old ladies can be tough! I bet the DLC would kick all kinds of butt if real little old ladies ran it.

6. "Just ask 76-year-old Jim McNeil, a retired steelworker
who turned out to hear Gore speak at the United Steelworkers of America headquarters in downtown Pittsburgh last week.
"There stands the real president," said McNeil, who then made just the sought-after segue into support for
Kerry on Election Day. "

emphasis mine.

I think he looks fine, considering the *moron in his place in the WH.

10. He's CRAZY, All Gore is nuts!!!!!

Oh, he's come unhinged from the 2000 presidential election. It just eats him up inside, he isn't taking his meds. He's nuts.

</sarcasm>

Al Gore is speaking with the passion and vigor he SHOULD have used during the 2000 presidential campaign. The wing-nuts are calling him crazy to distract people from what he's saying. The average wing-nut radio host is twice as animated as Gore, the worst being Sean Hannity.

17. Al Gore was elected president
Never forget that Gore was our elected president. If he had spoken with the emotion he shows today, he would have won in a landslide. Kerry needs to take a look a the Gore of 2000 vs. the Gore of 2004. If Kerry wants to win, he better start speaking with the passion of the Gore we see today.

19. Gore has every right to say "I told you so." He knew in 2000 about *.
And some voted for others. Now they say He's right. Is self control a thing of the past?

21. Oh Lord, the media will be ALL OVER this pic ...
"See, we told you he's crazy."
"He looks like he's medicated."
"I bet he's drinking."

I can just hear them now, an in-depth article about the photo, but not a word about what he said and how TRUE it is.
