http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/12/23/163953/41/681/676651I see no downside to Nadler in the Senate. It solves a number of issues, and strengthens the Senate in general and the progressive presence in particular.

1. Recommended - I have no beef about Kennedy, but Nadler would be a better choice. |

3. Would he be able to keep the seat in 2010? |

Winning a statewide election, that is. And be honest - don't just say yes because you like him ;)

And has been downright rude at times to his constituents about impeachment. In my opinion we don't need another senator who's not willing to hold people's feet to the fire. Used to really like him but the behavior of he and his staff regarding impeachment has seriously put me off.

http://news10now.com/content/all_news/watertownnorth_country/130392/debate-continues-over-who-will-take-hillary-clinton-s-place/Default.aspxSorry, but a down state, white, male Democrat who is virtually unknown in the upstate region is better than a down state, white, female Democrat who has name recognition in the upstate region?<yeah okay> If not Caroline Kennedy then Bea Gonzalez.

12. I wish Nita Lowey had chosen to run for Senate. She is the best thing in NY! |

But this is an issue that only applies to New Yorkers, and I hope the good people in that wonderful state, to which I still have family ties, choose someone that can be a dedicated servant to the people and can win again in two years.
