Eight Years Ago... I Seem To Remember Bill Clinton... |
|
working his ass off to preserve peace between Israel and Palestine. As a matter of fact, he spent a great deal of his last few months trying to prevent exactly what happened there today.
Where the hell is George Dubya Bush?
I mean... shit... he could at least put on a show. At least make it LOOK like he gave a shit.

Sorry - But Clinton brokered an incredible deal with Israel that Arafat wouldn't accept.

6. My tinfoil hat theory of today's bombing of Hamas: |
|
Edited on Sat Dec-27-08 05:47 PM by Bluestar
Bush/Cheney had promised Israel they could bomb Iran's nuclear sites before they left office. With public opinion against Bush the way it is and the post-election support for Obama, this program got canceled. Today's bombing was a consolation prize to the Israelis who were just itchin' to bomb something--just my conspiracy theory.
Edit: spelling corrections

12. It almost happened during Clinton's term w/ Rabin & Arafat. |

Then the Likud bastards killed their own Prime Minister, and their sick fascist agenda has been running things over there ever since. It's very similar to what the Bush Crime Family did to this country beginning in November 1963. Chimpy can't even pretend to be interested in peace over there, because the Likud bastards were very instrumental in writing the PNAC agenda, which grew from a similar Israeli plan called "A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm"> written in the mid-90's for the Netanyahu Likud government by Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, and others who would later form PNAC. Both the original Israeli document and the US version which eventually became Chimpy's foreign policy called for Iraq to be invaded and Saddam Hussein removed, and then move on to Iran and Syria.
As long as the Likud party (and their puppet Kadima, the Israeli equivalent of the DLC) remain in charge over there, there will never be peace no matter what the Palestinians do or do not do, because Likud does not want to coexist in any capacity. And a re-election of Netanyahu, a certifiable lunatic, would be the worst outcome of all.

Never be a "brokered" peace deal unless there is a mechanism to enforce the peace.
