obama on chicago public radio "wait wait don't tell me"
it's one of those year end things, they are featuring politicians that have appeared on the show. they are playing a bit with barack during the campaign. he is f'ing hilarious.

5. i wanna go to a taping.
we already give some coin to the station, and we are thinking about making it bigger. they have a deal where you get to meet everybody and sit on the stage. i think that would be fun, but dh is not real fired up for is. it is large coin. but it is a really great station. (the best, imho) i'm so glad that technology has made it possibly for them to syndicate so many of the shows.
at least need to get there in a regular seat soon.

My son lives there, and the next time I visit I am going to see if we can get to see the show. I heard it is taped on Thursday nights.

7. yeah I've noticed the locally produced Chicago NPR shows are more liberal than
"All things Considered" and " Morning Edition" and their national news in general.

8. absolutely. i quit giving for a while, i was so sick of the slant that npr has.
'news and notes' was the last straw for me. that was some slick propaganda there. between the subtle slant in the news show, and all the religious shows and items on the news, i just can barely listen any more.
but the local stuff is just amazing. i am so glad that they decided to rerun them in the evening. worldview has been the best international news show on the radio for the last 20 years. so glad that many more folks can now hear it.
went back to giving after that move.
