DUers and Freepers agree! No more Bush.
George Bush really has created a new era of Bi-Partisanship. Freepers are going mad at the suggestion of Bush 41 at the idea of a Bush 45.

Jeb is the best of the Bush’s, but 41 and 43 have forever wrecked Jeb’s chances.

It’s too bad. Jeb was a great governor, but he’ll NEVER have the chance to prove what a great president he could be.

"No more Bushies"

Oh my, you are so right. We are going to be so much better off with Obama than we were with President Bush. We can get real Liberals appointed in the Circuit Courts and the Supreme Court rather than those nasty old Conservatives like Roberts or Alito.

And Obama was right. We should have withdrawn from Iraq in defeat...no sense in winning when we could humiliate our military once more.

My God. The sheer idiocy of the Conservatives suffering from BDS rivals that of Liberals.

Was Bush 43 the best president we've ever had? Not by a long shot. Was he the worst? Not by a long shot.

Jeb should have been the one running. He's far more articulate and capable, but he's probably a little more moderate than his brother...which is a big negative. Still compared to McCain his nomination would have been a Godsend.

I do not believe there will be any further Bush presidency, but save the hatred for those who truly deserve it. I find having a sense of proportion goes a long way toward curing this kind of derranged response.

We are going to be so much better off with Obama than we were with President Bush.

It's because of W that we have Obama. First, because of his horrible presidency. Second, because he didn't help develop any good GOP leaders who could be elected president, especially by choosing Cheney as VP.

In a rational world, Jeb SHOULD have been the son who became President. But he was bulldozed out of the job as Governor of Florida by Lawton Chiles in 1994, pushing back the timetable by four years, and losing valuable executive experience as governor.

But George W. was the one with the resume in late 1999, and it was thought that anyone considering the higher office should have at least one full term as governor, before going on to the next level. Just see how they went after Sarah Palin, who had not yet completed her first term as governor. Of course, the same people would have gone after Sarah anyway, regardless of how much additional experience she may have had.

On a side note, there is a tendency to think that a Senator could move to the Oval Office, when in fact, most Senators have been poor administrators, and ill suited to serve as President, when compared to the records of most governors. But having served as governor, then subsequently as a Senator, tends to make a much more accomplished and polished candidate for President.

"It's because of W that we have Obama."

You're delusional. It's because of Arrogant Conservatives who refused to vote for McCain because he failed to meet their personal standards of Conservatism. You know, the ones who wanted to "teach Republicans a lesson?" The same smug idiots who wanted to "teach Republicans a lesson" in 2006 and gave us the worst congress in history.

It is the "cutting off your nose to spite your face" crowd who will send this nation into the mire of Democrat Party rule for the next 40 years.

Time for the adults in the crowd to stand up and take control. The children are too busy pouting about not getting everything they want.

No more RINOs, no more middle of the road liberal republicans. Time to clean house and start over. They have 8 years to fix this mess. All the Chosen One has to do is sit around for a couple of years and let things go as they are, then in the last two years of term one, get good showings on the economy and such and he is reelected.

The GOP is at rock bottom because of the Bush family and their allies. Until people like you realize that, and push for fixing the GOP, the Democrats will be winning a lot more elections. They controlled Congress for 50 years after Hoover. I don't want to see that again.

Your insistence that the problem is with the people, not with the leader reminds me of Carter.

It seems unlikely at this point- but I will never say never. I think after a helping of Obama people will be more than ready for Jeb or Sarah or many other Rs that don’t seem that likely at this point. It depends on how the cards fall and though I have been unhappy with the current President Bush at times I have heard from several Floridians that Jeb would have been much better.

I think the biggest problem with former President Bush and current President Bush both is it seemed like they didn’t deliver what people expected them to. Both fell short of what we the voters thought we were getting. My biggest gripe with current Bush is he didn’t stand up for himself and his policies with the media, and the dims- especially with regards to the War on Terror- he let the media set the tone early on and just sat back and took what they dished out. Poor communication with the people, so his support dwindled. Of course I also find great fault with President Bush and his policy on illegal immigration and other border issues- but then again he was no worse in that area than the long line of Presidents before him that failed to grasp that issue as they should have.

16. Bad Taste but funny
As the Campaign hots up, Tipper Gore announced at a White House press conference today, that she is going onto the Presidential Campaign trail with her husband, Vice President Al Gore. "To prepare myself," she said, "I have shaved off all my pubic hair. From now until the election, I shall sit on the stage with the Vice President. I will have my legs apart without wearing any panties."

"What is the message?" gasped astonished reporters at the news of this rather startling announcement.

"Read my lips: No more Bush."
