Could Kitty Kelley turn people away from Bush in election?
CNN's Paula Zahn set up a poll that asked if people would change their votes if Kitty Kelley's allegations against him are proven true.

58 percent: YES

42 percent: NO

1. Hey, my parents turned away from me when my ex-sister-in-law
narc'd me out.

They softened up, but still it took them several months.

8. Thanks for the sympathy; everybody got over it
though when somebody mentions marijuana on a TV show I'm watching with my parents, the folks tend to stiffen up and exchange furtive glances.

2. this poll doesn't mean a whole lot
becaue in the event the media can no longer lambast and discredit her, the story will be immediatley dropped.

The amount of readers won't drop for a while.

4. Yes!
I don't think the Moral Majority voters would vote for Kerry, but I do think they would choose not to vote.

BTW, why is Kerry's Catholicism and church-going never mentioned?
We Democrats can be religious too.

6. makes common sense ... what if the emperor ACTUALLY wore no clothes
this is exactly why bushco BURIED all his dirty laundry and poppy "fixes" when he ran in 2000 (depending SO HEAVILY on Ralph Reed's Christian Coalition voters) and when he ran for Guv of TX ... the time to strip this fraud of his pretend life is NOW. I say: bring.it.on.

7. That's must mean 58% of Repubs would change their vote
Edited on Mon Sep-13-04 08:48 PM by SpiralHawk
Obviously, if a Dem voter learned that K. Kelley's allegations are true, then the Dem voter would not change his or her vote. They are still going to vote for Kerry.

So -- as I have felt all along -- Kelley's book is likely to open a
MAJOR CAN OF WHOOP ASS on BushCo and Cronies.

10. You'd think
but in this f**ed up election, it could also represent a chunk of "undecideds" who will now vote for Shrub because of his steadfast and unwavering dedication to maintaining his 24 hour buzz.

9. I have to admit
I am pleased and surprised at how much press it is getting already. It will be interesting to see how Matthews treats her tomorrow. I suspect he will come down hard on her....but that may be the best way to stir up interest. If she is only praised in her appearances, the buzz will die down fast. If they all attack her like Lauer did, people will want to read the damned book themselves.

12. Actually, some of it may endear "Wrong Way" to Dems!
We don't mind some flaws in our politicians. I honestly don't have a problem with Wrong Way avoiding Vietnam, just like I don't have a problem with Clinton avoiding Vietnam. My problem is HE LIED ABOUT IT, and THAT, my friends, is IMPEACHABLE, especially when its under oath. (So, when are the families of the people who were skipped over who died in 'nam going to start a lawsuit?)
