I don't think that the "jury" on Keith is out. He has been consistently great and I refuse to let one segment of his show change my opinion of him.

He suggested that the GOP could have dummied up the Killiam papers in order to discredit the whole AWOL story. He admitted it would be a very risky move but wouldn't rule out the possibility. It's not like Rove isn't capable of doing that, but it's too unlikely in this case - it's not like the fake cocaine story he put out to discredit JH Hatfield, and CBS News isn't Hatfield.

Olbermann is the best cable news offers. Much better than Chris Matthews, who is alternately embraced and spat upon on DU.

He is a reporter for Christ's sake. I am so sick and damned tired of my fellow DUers trying to micromanage journalists. A guy like Olberman can kick the shit out of Bush day in day out and then one day he does not kick as a hard as we would like or even he might actually spend one day not bashing or heaven forbid, being complimentary and people freak. Olberman is better than the likes of Tweety, Woodruff, and Blitzer combined, yet we always have this mentality of biting the hand that feeds us. I don't want a "left-wing" journalist, nor do I need one. I just want a fair journalist who will report the facts and debunk the junk, which Olberman (as well as Rather and Aaron Brown, to a certain extent) does very well.

and he did a great job reporting on the Buckhead Freeper connection to the refuting of the docs and all of that. He's got a great show and he's the best thing out there on Cable News at the moment, hell, he's pretty much the only person out there at the moment who actually reports the news.
