I think waiting to criticize until Obama takes office is WAY premature.
I think we should wait until his term(s) end! We can't really know how smart he is until after he's had 4 or 8 years to do stuff.

All of you Obama haters who criticize him before January of 2013 or January of 2017 as the case may be, are bad Democrats and premature naysayers with no ideas of your own.

7. when did the mob turn ugly?
I've read (and written) plenty of criticism (and I certainly don't see any improvement), but I haven't seen any angry mobs either.

11. Arrogant foolishness?
angry mobs, with stakes and pitchforks and torches?

My eyes are open and I see plenty of arrogant foolishness, but probably not in the same places as you.

I still don't see any angry mobs with stakes and torches though.

20. We're allowed to twitch a little, though; aren't we?
I mean, nothing like a full wince or anything, and of course, VERY discreetly and only when it's of the more visceral sort of response that can't be dependably suppressed. That's cool, right?

12. Criticism and overreaction are two different things
Stating that Obama might have been wise to pick someone who is more qualified than Sanjay Gupta to be Surgeon General is criticism. Saying that it is a clear indicator that Obama is a sellout to big pharmaceutical companies is overreaction.

16. Obama is what this country needs
His presidency will make the far right and left irrelevant.

Obama's centrism is the nail in the coffin for Rush Limbaugh and Mike Malloy.

Time for a man of the people and not of the fringe wacko's.

Next election the Far right will lose huge chunks of base to Obama and the Dem's will be purged of Code Pink and the other dreamers who thought Obama was going to be the start of the utopian revolution.

He will get 8 years and will unite the core of the country.

He is THE man!

I took the unusual step of criticizing Obama the moment he was born. You should have seen me. The little joker had the nerve to enter this world still tied to his mama. What a wuss. I really let him have it. It shamed the doctor so bad, he ended up cutting the connecting cord. :eyes:

Without the benefit of divinely inspired prognostication, and the ability to read tea leaves so many DU'ers appear to enjoy from the comfort of their own homes, I'm left to wait until I see actual consequences before I can make any personal and biased judgments rather than engaging in any premature political ejaculations...

28. Yeah. Criticism before any policy is implemented is always okay!
There's criticism and then there's calling names..Like comparing him to Bush before he's actually done anything. Every damn post that says "where's the change?" wins my award for stupidity.
Now that we've elected him lets make sure everyone knows just how much we hate him..:sarcasm:

And people wonder why the dem party is so screwed up.

32. He can be criticized at any time, this is America but some here are in doomsday mode already
I will at least give the man a few months to judge him. Bush has already messed up and its been 8 years, he was a screw up the entire time and we all knew it. What I want out of Obama most is transparency and competence and of course following an agenda more to the left then was previously done.

44. Well hell
Why don't we just start the impeachment hearings the minute after he takes office. For some I think it wouldn't be soon enough.

All this "Obama has disappointed me" crap is getting old. As someone else wisely pointed out, people are overreacting.

It makes me wonder if we ACTUALLY won an election two months ago.
