.... 'cause it's the American Inaugural Ceremony, not a high school football game. :p
But, anyway, all hail the First Ammendment.

|
he speaks - but can't promise I won't boo. People say booing is a classless act - but what I think - booing is almost a spontaneous natural instinct. It is not something you plan to do - it just happens.

10. Now, I'll be constantly looking for Roosevelt 32 ! Are u staying in DC? |
|
We are booked at a B&B in Middleburg VA - but am talking to someone about an apt rental on Cap Hill close enough to walk. He's a House staffer that wants money to leave town to go to Key West.

22. that sounds great ! I've been really torn between blowing all |
|
my savings and staying in town. Feel like I will be missing a lot - just metro-ing in and out. But, then I'd want to go to a ball, and then I'd have to buy a dress, and rent a tux, blah, blah, blah.
I did do something I'm excited about though. Months ago, I reserved a table for breakfast at the Hay Adams - back then - thinking I'd see someone famous. Then found out yesterday - Obamas are staying there. It's gawking time !!

|
the night before will be really fun.
I'm hoping there's a sing along or a conga line outside the White House.
I remember when the fat ladies - wearing viking helmets - sang outside the WH gates for GHWB.

What a fabulous idea about the hotel! Be sure to take pics and put them on DU.
Me, I have an intense aversion to crowds but part of me thinks it's great to just go! You'll pick up all kinds of mementos and you can give them to your grandkids!

given anything to be involved. Speaking of potties, I saw a post on Craig's list the other day - people did an "intense" study on places to pee near the mall. For 3.75. Think I'll order.

Made my hotel reservations in June so I'm within a mile or so of the Capital. My finally-good-for-something Repug Rep came through with two tickets to my surprise. I didn't request the tickets until the day after election day and subsequently heard that he had had 500 requests prior to 11/4. Since he used first come, first served, I gues there was some bad reporting.
Just waiting for the weather forecasts now. It looks like the Northeast will have a siginificant cold spell next week which I hope means a warmup for the week after. As long as it doesn't rain...rain would suck.
