Orman and Noonan: Sarah Palin is stupid, pathetic, immature, and not astute, not Reaganesque
Edited on Fri Jan-09-09 09:08 AM by Roberto1223
Suze Orman in Morning Joe (MSNBC) just made a comment referring of Sarah Palin's latest interview attacking Katie Couric, Caroline Kennedy and Tina Fey as "pathetic, truly immature and not astute. It was stupid." Mika was shocked but smiled in agreement. Then it was Peggy Noonan's turn and she attacked Palin as not being "Reaganesque". She said that if anybody criticized Ronald Reagan, he absorbed the criticism and turned it around against those who criticized him. He said that this method disarmed his critics and that is why Reagan was well liked, even by his rivals. Noonan said that Palin indeed looked "immature and petty" attacking the media and it made her look like she was whining. Joe Scumborough did not look happy because even Noonan categorized Palin's latest interview "not good"

So Sarah Palin has had another EPIC FAIL!

1. Noonan on Palin: " Sometimes its better to say NOTHING than to say
something that makes you look not as intelligent as you MAY be."

2. I think the original truism goes more like..."It is better to appear to be stupid...
than to open your mouth and PROVE it."

3. Noonan is very good with words and even if she trried to soften the blow on Palin
she still thinks that Palin is an idiot. Remember the open microphone incident with Chuck Todd, Mike Murphy and Noonan when she said that Palin was "bullshit"

Todd: Don’t you think the Palin pick is insulting to Kay Baily Hutchinson?

Noonan: I saw Kay this morning...

Todd: She's never looked comfortable about..

Murphy: They're all bummed out.

Todd: I mean, is she really the most qualified woman they can obtain?

Noonan: The most qualified? No. I think they went for this, excuse me, political bullshit about narratives...

Todd: Yeah, but what's a narrative?

Murphy: I totally agree.

Noonan: Every time Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at, they blow it.

Murphy: You know what's the worst thing about it, the greatness of McCain is no cynicism, and..

Murphy and Todd together: This is cynical.

Todd: And as you called it, gimmicky

12. you left out my fave part
Noonan: It's OVER!

LOL. Though what a wimp thing to try and cover it up the next morning, Peggy. At least Mike Murphy also had another funny moment on Race for the White House once when they were talking about Sarah Palin and her "Joe six pack" talk, saying "If she keeps talking like that, I'm going to NEED a six pack..."

didn't have my glasses on, LOL, so maybe I was seeing Orman and thinking it was Noonan !

7. Better to let them think you're an idiot than to open your mouth and confirm it.
She should remain silent.

6. heh
I saw part of it earlier, and even Joe Scarborough was like "You need to...be careful...that you don't seem like you're whining..." Um, understatement of the new year, Joe. And Norah said that while she feels sorry for her as a mother, Palin invites a lot of it on herself because she IS pursuing the media a lot now, leaving messages on their phones, etc.

14. Seriously if I was a PR agent and had Palin as a client I would recommend the following
#1 - Retire from politics but well in case she refuses tha then...

#2 - Stay out the limelight for about 1-2 years except perhaps some key moments when she actually does something good that benefits the public. During those years of seclusion, work with an image consultant to try an add some class to her image so that she could be tolerable if she is crazy enough to run in 2012.

The McCain people knew they had a loose cannon and did their best to rein her in but hell she's on her own now and basically instead of shooting moose she is shooting her own foot.

21. So long as it's her own foot (continuously)
Let 'er keep lockin', loadin', and shootin' it off all the way to the ass. Yah, you betcha.

She may well be a proverbial self-correcting problem.

Noonan sets the standard for not knowing when to keep her counsel and keep the piehole shut.
