Why is the media making a BIG deal what Jill Biden said about Joe being offered either job |
|
As Secretary Of State or Vice President seems to be much to do about nothing to me.

Why anybody cares about this is beyond me.
It's a teenweeny little tempest in a very tiny teapot.

Its not like they won the election. And then he asked Biden to be the VP AND Sec of State.

They need a conflict. All this niceynice, upwithpeople stuff around Washington has the MSM running on their last nerves.
Without conflict who the hell needs them?
I saw the clip and I thought it was hilarious. As to the "issue", let's say Obama did offer Biden his pick of the office. He obviously wanted him on the team. I imagine that if Biden had opted for State we might easily have seen Hillary as VP right now. No way to tell.
Personally, I'm much happier with the way it played out. I think the US needs someone like Hilary (and there is no one else like Hilary) as its public spokesperson to the world. As VP she would have been carrying O's jacket in essence. As SecState she is a power in her own right, and the world will be better off for that.
Kudos to Obama and Biden AND Hilary for being the best possible people for their respective jobs. We're more than lucky to have them.

7. Anything to sow divisiveness! |

That's what they do best....even when they aren't trying.
I've heard at least a hundred times from the TV Pundits....."Everyone is celebrating now, but wait till Wednesday, when things get back to the real world!" meaning....wait till we start in again at making shit up on Wednesday!

I agree it is much ado about nothing... I'm sure something was said that lead Biden to think he had his choice, even if not specifically, but so what....?
Surprisingly, Tweety let it go pretty quickly. He must have learned at least a little lesson re: his Hillary obsessions.

13. If you are implying I do--take a pill. You are totally off base. |

I supported both Obama and Hillary equally to our state caucuses. Obviously, I was forced to make a choice and the possibilities seemed limitless for Obama. He seemed like what the country needed at this time, however improbable it once seemed that he could succeed. It was a crushing decision for me because I really wanted a competent woman in the White House and Hillary is quite competent. But, Obama spoke to me in terms of what I thought we needed, NOW. Had the primaries have gone to HRC, I would have expended every bit as much effort on her as I did Obama.
So, in short, you are way off base. I fail to understand your need to make such assumptions, ....

17. Tweety learned about this last month. |

On his weekend show, one of his guests broke the news. I'm surprised the other pundits are acting like this is new.

9. The implication seems to be...... |
|
.... that Barack was being presumptive and "picking" cabinet positions before he was elected. That was the impression I just got from watching Hardball.
I think it's also a bit of "slam" to Hillary. One could say she's getting sloppy seconds.

10. The President makes these decisions |
|
He/She never gives somebody else the option of doing whatever the hell they want. Obama and Biden may have discussed both options, but Biden could not possibly have made that choice over the President.

I heard it before and as I recall, it was Joe in an interview saying he was given the choice. The media is just looking to jump on anything that looks like a controversy.
