35. Hey, I don't think he even needed one. I think it's phony as hell.
HIM? Him - hoisting boxes during his move-in to his new house? Since when does he do such menial labor? Besides, he's got a heart condition. This is the LAST guy to be doing anything of that kind of exertion anyway. I was suspicious the minute I heard this. I thought at first that it's just his idea of one last fleecing of the American taxpayer - making them pay so he wouldn't have to walk - he could sit and be wheeled in and it'd be all "look at ME! ME! ME in my wheelchair!!! Feel sorry for ME! Never mind that new guy over there. I'm the one who deserves the attention!" I figured it'd be one last little up-yours to President Obama to try to distract and steal a little of his thunder. But in another thread, DUer BecauseBushSaysSo had what I think is probably a more accurate guess: cheney just didn't feel like standing for the new President. Or maybe it was THIS new President? But I went immediately into suspicion mode when I first heard this.

It's completely bogus. I'll bet we find that out later - it'll get leaked. Mainly because he isn't in with the in crowd anymore, and he doesn't have near the influence or clout he had even just a few hours ago. It's no longer up to him.

12. Yes, I kinda think so.
I said to my boyfriend today, I'm not really happy to see him in a wheelchair I dont wish physical pain on anyone however, I'd be much happier to see him in jail.

23. I tried not to, but the comparison were interesting
Look at the Republicans in attendance. Cheney's in a wheelchair because of that injury, Bush Sr. didn't look to be in great shape either, Bush looked like he bit into an apple and found half a worm.

Obama's, well, Obama; Clinton looked fine as usual; Carter looked to be in as good a shape as any of the younger presidents...

I'm sure there's a symbol there somewhere about the two parties.
