My favorite comment about Cheney's wheelchair status |

"Does this mean he gets another deferment?"

The way WW2 fighters stenciled the profile of each enemy plane shot down on their fuselage, Cheney should make his wheelchair with each of his deferments.

PS - I got a draft number in 1972 and to this day I'm thankful people my age enjoyed the first year of the abolishment of the draft.
I would not have survived if I had to serve. I am wayyyy too delicate and sensitive. But I sure as hell would not expect young people to do the job I sidestepped.
Which brings to mind another Cheney comment; "So? They volunteered."

2. I registered for the draft when I was 18, |

which was 1978, but I never got called and now I'm too old (48). But they probably wouldn't have taken me since I'm gay. I don't believe in the draft though. If there's not enough public support for a war, they just shouldn't have the war.
