How do you feel, fellow DUers?

1. I don't know what
to do with myself. I feel overwhelming relief with the operative word being "overwhelming."

2. It will take some adjustment time to get used to complete sentences.
Aside from that, I'm thrilled.

4. It seems like the air is a little clearer and the birds sing a little sweeter.
I'm ready for the trials to begin.

5. How do I feel?
There's a twinkle in my eye, a song on my lips, and a smile on my heart. :)

6. Relief, pride, hope,
anxious to get to work - and my face kinda hurts because I haven't been able to wipe this smile off it! :)

I don't know which moment evoked more emotion in me - Obama being sworn in or bush leaving.

10. I'm looking forward to forgetting him. I'm hoping these last shots of him and
Laura in Crawford will be gone by this evening when I return from work.

Otherwise, I'm just relieved and hopeful. :-)

11. Like it's worth being awake.
The last 4 were especially hard for some reason. I could kind of accept that it had happened the first time. But getting him in there for a second term really tipped me over.

just smile..."

This song by the Rascals is stuck in my head this morning.

16. So relieved I could cry.... again.
It's like a weight is lifted off me. I can breathe again.

The past 8 years, when I've seen a flag in front of someone's house, I've found myself shaking my head. The brand new flag in front of my neighbor's house this morning made me grin ear to ear.

I don't have to feel embarrassed every time I hear the word "President".
I don't have to cringe when I hear talk of US foreign relations.
I don't have to worry that every single decision being made and every action taken is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what should be done.

It's a feeling I'm not quite used to. I think it's called... "pride"?

17. Last nite, I awoke from sleep, and really realized now we
have a new President thank god. But we have alot of work to do, and the criminals are still running around free.

Remember these words from Dick: If the President did anything illegal he would have been impeached, doesn't that make your blood boil? Remember these criminals are still walking around free.

21. No, I had to go back to work.
So I'm sober for the first time in three days.

It's depressing. :(

19. Hope and pride
Still taking it all in, but feeling good that the REAL adults are going to be in charge.

And feeling great that we have an intelligent (and cool!) president that talks TO us, not at us. The press conferences and SOTU address are going to be worth watching now! :bounce:
